You know what? With the general amount of care and production value they put into this episode I think this might actually be intentional just to fuck with us. I mean hell, they kept characters in proportion except for select moments where size was enhanced or diminished for clear and obvious artistic reasons and that's literally been the biggest cross this show has had to bear. Like, we all know that the show is produced by people who like to make meta-commentary about the show and it's audience (like crying breakfast friends) so it wouldn't surprise me much if the 1 time they were going all out and really putting in 100% effort that they'd intentionally drop in a flaw just to get our goat.
