I guess so. During one of those videos it was briefly mentioned that companies/groups such as Normal Boots (or corps like Machinima) served to "elevate your voice", until some change in Youtube's algorithm made those partnerships redundant/useless and you were better on your own.

Such sites would also have better monetization than Youtube alone at the time and usually would release the video first. I think you can still see on some of Nerd's videos some caption that reads "Aired first on ScrewAttack at [date before YT upload]".

A relic of the past, guess Normal Boots now is just a brand that's getting eroded by the day.
