Bring Back National Dex - This comes from the end of a bigger rant (in source,) but the upshot is: GF made separate models for each Dynamax mon, when they could’ve just upsized the originals, put a red overlay on, and made the clouds a background effect. Dynamaximum Effort!

If true, this sure sucks Before this I wasn't hyped for dynamax because it's just another gen specific battle gimmick. Now it could be responsible for all this national dex drama. I've gone from feeling apathy to absolutely hating this mechanic.
