Nintendo - Furukawa knows what the score is

Nintendo is calling you out Sony.

You say you cater to an older demographic but you're scared of some anime tiddies.

I mean… I do believe them, I really do. But ultimately, the ones we have to look out for is Japan's CERO Rating Board. They can decide at any moment's whim that subtle, harmless changes like Mythra's clothes on her Smash Ultimate's spirit fight are no longer enough and go beyond that. They are REALLY strict, even more so than the ESRB, in fact. So, even if the games arrive uncensored on Nintendo's side, they still need to get through CERO's eyes and hopefully also get an uncensored checkmark.

Only time can tell how well this will play out, though it definitely gives some hope, no doubt.
