Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse - History repeats itself

I remember reading in a magazine that The Lego Batman Movie was the first animated Batman movie to be released in theaters and the first Batman movie to challenge the question of is it ok for Batman to love
This was an Animation Magazine and was completely wrong. Mask of the Phantasm did both those things first.

Add Shazam to the list too. I know it wasn’t animated but gosh it made so little money for such a good film.
