WWII was the results of everyone being incompetent, not only the french. The western democracies were cowardly and delusional, their attempts at 'appeasment' only resulted in eastern Europe being abandonned, reap for the taking by Hitler.

Versailles wasn't written only by the french. The blame was to put on most actors of WWI.
