Should gifted children be left in regular classrooms to help low- performing students? Wouldn't it teach empathy? Answered 18h ago Absolutely not. Let me explain. I am a highly gifted 13 year old student. I can't say my exact IQ because I told my parents I did not want to know, but I do know the general range. I also know that no student, no matter their IQ, should be forced to remain in a classroom environment purely for the benefit of another student. In kindergarten, I already knew how to do complex multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction. In fact, I already knew how to do everything that we would learn that year.
