I saw a post on r/MagicTCG of somebody complaining that they had the perfect counters to Bant Oko and still lost. Some people were giving him crap because they said he "could've had better cards to counter it", but in his colors he really couldn't have. Oko's ability to turn Food into 3/3's is incredibly stupid as well. And he's unkillable without spot removal. If I came to my first Standard FNM and brought a janky Rakdos Spectacle deck and had to play against Oko game one, I would leave and never come back. I had a game where I commited all my resources to killing him and I still couldn't do it until I topdecked my one-of murderous rider. At that point, he already had two 3/3 foods, and I had jackall else, so I killed Oko out of spite.
