I got this thought after running across more internet complaints regarding Penny's return in Volume 7. While I agree that the emotional impact could have been handled better, some complaints seem to fail to take into account that a cutting edge combat system would have contingencies for recovery/salvage in case of massive damage in the field. I never had any doubts that Penny would be rebuilt, I was only surprised by how soon she returned and how "analog" the recovery method was. This is all just personal speculation about the process, which I admit is slightly based on how Kirito "saved" Yui in Something Witty Entertainment's Sword Art Online Abridged. Given how people have been concerning RWBY lately I just ask that you all keep things civil in the comments. Knowing the internet I doubt that will be the case but I have to at least suggest it seeing as I refuse to disable the comments section since unlike Raven Branwen I am not bitch made.
