Hell, I would actually like if they used the power of at least half the money they get towards making Pokemon the 60 dollar AAA title game it deserves to be instead of treating it like some side indie project nobody cares about. But then again, why should they..? They effectively introduced the type of DLC content every single videogame fan ever has condemned for well over a decade now with basically unanimous agreement on how much it sucks and made people praise them for it instead.

It is obvious that they know they can get away with anything now, so of course they do these things, and will keep doing so, and people will keep rewarding them for it, and the franchise will keep suffering for it, because the one thing that stops game companies from doing so – fan backlash – is not strong enough for Pokemon, and only for Pokemon. Literally no one else has gotten away with this. All of it just in time for Christmas.
