My friend, who loves it, thought it'd be really funny if I kept an eye on these HSG threads for a while and then attempted to describe what I believe to be the main characters and story of Homestuck based on what I've seen in here. The time has passed, so, here I go. Be gentle Homestuck is the story of four kids (John, Dave, Jade, and Rose) who are put into a deep sleep by a cosmic entity known as Lord English after attempting to play a video game called Sburb his agents have dispersed throughout the world for the purpose of allowing him to reach out to them for his nefarious purposes. The agenda of Lord English is more directly aided by the enigmatic and powerful Scratch, a faceless fiend who derives his limitless power from the psychic energy of pubescent girls trapped in his master's enchanted sleep. He likes to "play with his food," so to speak, and manipulate the dreaming kids to bring about the return of his lord. These trolls are typically violent and impulsive creatures whose desires rule their lives, but some are able to temper their destructive natures. They are shepherded from afar by an oddly motherly troll who calls herself Aradia and makes sure things don't get too out of hand. Some of these trolls include Terezi a manic stoner who can taste and feel all colors of the rainbow, Vriska, a hardcore gamer girl who has become a spiteful and manipulative person ever since her loving boyfriend Tavros died of a terminal illness that had previously rendered him crippled, Kanaya an undead fashion queen given unlife by the power of Scratch who occasionally succumbs to her vampiric nature (and thus the brutal murder of her friends Eridan and Feferi, a brother and sister pair of sea-dwelling aristocrats), and Gamzee, a kind and caring friend to the others who turns into a psychopathic serial killer until the dawn whenever the clock strikes Three in the Morning The kids discovered that their world is actually nothing more than a reality dreamed up by these trolls, also under the influence of Lord English's guided d order to foil Scratch's plans and stop the releasing of English. It helps that John has discovered that he is in fact immortal and indestructible in this world of dreams, and has "awakened" as a god reaming powers.
