That's not the question I had asked though. I asked what you would choose to do, assuming you had the nerves of steel you'd see in a typical fast and furious movie. Pretend you're Spock if you so wish.

I for one, would never buy a car that decides to smash me into a boulder. I may go to prison, and I may deserve the prison time, but that is far better to me than being a stain on a wall a poor fire fighter or janitor has to squeegee off.

I always found this to be the more logical approach to the whole self-driving car conundrum. I wouldn't want to buy a car that is programmed to essentially allow me to die in certain circumstances after all. Plus, I always figured self driving cars simply staying the course was better because its just more predictable and you don't risk swerving to avoid hitting the pedestrian only to hit something else
