ARE YA WINNING, SON? No dad, i'm not winning, I don't even play games anymore they're not fun. I just sit and scroll twitter mindlessly for hours. It's the same everynight. i'm tired dad You know why son? Because you've spent the last decade mindlessly addicted to video games and social media, and your serotonin is f------ drained. You're not having a grand poetic malaise, it's a lifetime of abusing your pleasure receptors. Step away from the computer. Take a break, it'll do you good and you can come back at some point and enjoy the games again. And if you don't, f--- it, find something else. And by the way, your mother and I told you not to play video games all day long, and you did, so don't begin feeling sorry for yourself. The problem, Dad, is that the world outside has always done its very best to make me feel unwelcome. I could never make friends, because I can't understand or communicate to people. I was never liked, listened to, or even looked at; ever since the first day in which I was made to interact with another, I was rejected. For me, it was never a choice to entomb myself within these walls, for those outside have treated me with indifference at best, and contempt at worst. There is nothing out there for me, and soon enough, nothing in here either. I have grown weary, but I see no alternative. I am adrift in life, hopeless as my remaining time dwindles. Guess what son? No one gives you acceptance on a have to earn that s--- like everyone else. Have you ever tried to understand people instead of outright ignoring them just because you don't share the same feelings as them? Have you ever considered maybe people don't like to because you never tried to be a good person and you come off as genuinely creepy to most people? It goes back to what I'm saying. You do choose to be alone. You're so afraid of trying anything new you'd rather go back to your miserable life of doing nothing because at least that's safe. Hell, you don't even have to interact with people. Inever even said that in the first place. Just go outside, read a book, draw a picture, literally anything productive. Even talking to me about your feelings like what we're doing right now will help. Son, I'm telling you this because I love you and I want you to stop feeling so f------ sorry about yourself. You're not hopeless. You're destined for great things and all you have to do is talk about it. silver platter. You Also clean up your damn room. We got you those two monitors and rainbow keyboards so I better see some god damn appreciation for it.
