I'd argue that the only point when Jojo's art took a dip was maybe in 6, everywhere else there has been great improvements. One of the great joys of reading and rereading Jojo is watching Araki's style evolve and develop. SBR looks goddamn gorgeous and Jojolion keeps on pushing even further. The influence of Italian Renaissance sculptures and paintings is very palpable. While I do enjoy the style Phantom Blood and Stardust Crusader, both feel like a step stepping towards Araki's realized style.
