Rainer's father, Rudolf "Rudi" Winkler died in 2011. It is very likely that the whole "dragon game" would have never started if Rudi hadn't died early. Rudi was very much opposed to having an internet connection at his house. Rainer went ahead and applied for an internet collection when Rudi was already close to dying. Rainer mentioned several times that Rudi always stated that the house would only get an internet connection over his dead body. Rainer then said: "What can I say, he was right."
