The plot would be full of door jokes and paper puns, and Goombella would be a generic Goomba, Koops would be a generic Koopa, Yoshi would be a generic green baby yoshi from SMW, Bobbery would be a generic bob-omb (who's wife died in a paper shredder), and I guarantee that Flurrie, Vivian and Mrs Mowz wouldn't even be in the game. Lord Crump would be a crumpled up ball of paper. The x-nauts and Grodus would probably be changed into some office utensil if they're even in the game. There'd be no Rogueport, can't have implied crime violence in a mario game. Instead it would take place in the Mushroom kingdom. Not the Mushroom kingdom you remember from Paper Mario 64, but a homogonized disney-esque town. And it's being plagued by thousands of doors.
