Spoiler Free Context: Death is pleading with Azrael, the Death of Universes, to be allowed to give just a little time to put things right between himself and another of the major characters in the novel Reaper Man.

The Death of the Discworld is but a little death. Azrael does not need to listen. Azrael may not even comprehend what Death is asking of him, for what matters the life of but a single human being, to a person whose sole duty is to destroy entire universes?

But Death still asks, because ultimately, Death cares.
