In a way, yes, since TYPE-MOON had all their early stories include sex scenes due to the publishers at the time believing visual novels without sex in them didn't sell. You could really tell Nasu personally didn't want to do that, since all of the scenes had hilariously bad writing that was worse than an amateur.

They only started getting rid of the sex scenes after they began raking in money, to the point that Fate/Stay Night had so little sex in it they were able to just cut it out in the updated re-release.
