It should be noted that there's dogwhistling going on in the political cartoon itself. No I'm not talking about the guy doing the okay sign, but the symbol on the transperson's dress:

For those who don't know, this is an obscure symbol used by pedophiles". (Cause all queer people want to have sex with children, am I right?)

It's also recently been part of a number of symbols that have become a huge obsession with QAnon for a while. I wouldn't even have known about this if it weren't for a video of some Viking LARPer screaming about pedos at an Arizona mall.

I think the comic is more about people getting worked up over conspiracy theories over right wing ‘dog whistles’ when what left wing people are doing OPENLY is far more violent and abhorrent than an OK sign.
