Technologia, sometimes spelled Tecnologia, is a series of memes, primarily on TikTok and Instagram Reels, in which a cheap, elaborate, yet functional DIY solution to a problem is shown alongside an audio of two Arabic men repeatedly saying, "Technologia." The audio originates from an October 2024 viral video of the men reacting to the middle-rear seat of a car rising at the press of a button. The audio became notably popular on TikTok in March 2025 with both Arabic and English-speaking TikTokers. The memes are comparable to DIY fail memes.

Origin

On October 26th, 2024, TikToker^[1] @raa_r51 posted a video in which a man in the back seat of a car presses a button on the folded-down middle-rear seat, causing it to rise back to its initial position. The man smiles and says, "Technologia," which is repeated by another man. The video gained over 3.8 million views in five months.

Spread

The video went viral over the following months via reposts, inspiring memes in which the audio is used over footage of cheap yet functional DIY solutions. On December 11th, 2024, Instagram^[2] user carsbikesandcreativity reposted the video, garnering over 41 million views and 2 million likes in three months.

On March 8th, 2025, TikToker^[3] @sabthikxanii psoted a video to a version of the audio showing a water spout that's been fixed using a plastic bottle, garnering over 28.3 million views in around two weeks.

On March 16th, Instagram^[4] user the_factory_sewing posted a video to the audio showing a woman using an altered sewing machine to make whipped cream, garnering over 126,000 likes in 10 days.

On March 22nd, TikToker^[5] @patrigea_ posted a video to the audio of someone who has fished a hose through their slide to help them clean a stone walkway, garnering over 17 million views in four days.
