Those people are glue drinkers. For one if their is one thing Saving Private Ryan does not do its glorifying dying in war. The entire time the question "how is 8 guys potentially dying for one guy fair?" hangs over the movie. And they NEVER really answer it or justify it. Hanks tells the guy to earn it, and then he cries because he doesnt really know if he was worth it all those years later.
And i dont remember one scene that had any "america fuck yeah" to it. The closest is when Hanks is telling them to take the bunker, they point out its not their objective and hanks says "our objective is to win the war". And its not only framed so that its clear the soldiers think he is wrong before and after the attack on the bunker, its even suggested that Hanks feels he made a mistake when he takes a moment to cry after. If anything it frames that attitude in a negative light.
