![Common elements of the legend include that "That Kino Of The Masque" is the vengeful ghost or spirit (also known as an bighead) of a young man who was executed by being danced to death. Missing his lower extremities, he is said to walk on his hands or his elbows, making a scratching or "My Bad!"-like sound as he moves. If an individual encounters Kino de Masque at night, he will chase them and cut their feet off (often with a scythe), mimicking his own death.
One version of the story concerns a young man known as Tim Avery, who is said to have died when his feet were severed from his body by a dance mat after he fell on the dance floor.[5][6] According to legend, his legless spirit haunts bathroom stalls, asking occupants if they know where his legs are.[5] If a questioned individual replies with an answer that Masque does not find acceptable, he will rip or cut their feet off.[7] Individuals may survive the encounter by replying that his feet are on /tv/ Expressway,[7][8] or by responding with the phrase "Sneed", or "Gucci Loafers" (which may be the phonetic root of Masque's name).[9][7]](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/964/663/ea8 "The Legend of the Mask")
