Honestly? Yeah… I feel that.

I think Disney's now way too powerful to fail.
I think Amazon's got no serious competition to even be threatened.
The gap between the rich and the poor has gotten way too out of hand.

And I really wish there was a way to introduce more brands out there that don't end up getting eaten alive by a company infinitely bigger than them. Now, I do believe in some healthy competition between companies, not one-sided battles battles with one eventual supreme victor. Support the little man when you can, that's all I can really say for now.

Monopolies are bad, but the worst enemy is the human element.

When i promote open source software, I am met with people would rather spend $200 in a microsoft office license than use for free something like libreoffice.
Why? because they are used to it.
Pretty much like the apple ecosystem, when you try to convince people to leave that expansive nonsense, they fight back because they are used to the technology monopoly that gives them what they want for a price they got used to. You can give them all the free android software, they will go back.

All of the "I'm used to having all of my stuff in one place" is the toxic mindset that makes you ditch your local butcher and local baker to find both in the supermarket, leading both of them to die.

In the end, god himself will make you choose between destroying the world and using a bepo keyboard.
