Reminder that the only wages that increased in the last 50 years in the US are of people in management positions. The average Joe still has the income of 50 years ago… where the money is only worth half as much in comparison due to inflation.

Or: the mean average income in the US in 2019 was $116,735 per household… while the actual median was at $68,703. That's right the divide between rich VS poor is now SO large, that the "average income" is bloated to twice the size of the ACTUAL medium income.

Also fun fact: "shareholder value" as a sub-ideology of capitalism was adopted in the 1970s… what a coincidence.
