Classic misdirection and blame transfer, trying to turn the autistic redditors into the bad guys. It was actually the total recklessness of the hedge fund elites that created this scenario. They leveraged themselves to potentially unlimited losses, and were so brazenly confident the system would rescue them if they ever got in a bind that they immediately took the bailout money from their friends, (nice to have people just sitting around to give you additional billions in cash when you are in a jam), and doubled down on their insanely stupid bet. They may yet make it out of their awful decision making alive as their fellow elites rally around them to prevent the little investors from running up the score by suspending their trading privileges and banning them off the internet.
