idk, personally I kinda loved how OP the shotgun could be when you get all the pellets to hit but I'd be lying if I didn't say the pellet spread always blew my mind how you could be just somewhat close and possibly have all the pellet, but one, miss.

I remember I did a second run for Doom 3 and I did a shotgun-only challenge. Obv the challenge was shotgun ONLY but if I ran out of ammo, I can only use the pistol, no other weapon and I can only use the Soul Cube on the Cyberdemon. So far the bosses weren't bad except that damn hell boss took so long.

Yes, as he said the spread is ridiculous and the damage is inconsistent. I'm sure there are worse video game shotguns out there, but this one sticks out because Doom having a mediocre shotgun is a crime against God.
