I'd ask why nobody ever seems to release a game with an actually nuanced morality system that allows you to simultaneously be varying degrees good in some ways and varying degrees of evil in others, but in all honesty we all know that the reason nobody does it is because that would involve high development costs, research and experimenting and the modern game industry near-exclusively caters to developers that play it safe and either make a sequel exactly like the last game, but in 4K, or literally a remake of the last game, but in 4K because God forbid a game flop and not make a lot of money every once in a while.
