Once had a teacher ask us doing that, but it was intentional:

Each of us had to make a little free website, take note of promised features on paid plans, compare the free features of each one, and take note of what were the rules for having your website and account purged for lack of use/maintenance. We were even encouraged to use temporary/burner accounts and take note if said host prevented you from using stuff like 10minutemail.

What I have to imagine was the thought process of one of my teachers making me sign up for Twitter way back when.

I think I have exactly three posts on the site, and they were all made after I got out of college for longshot chances at winning free shit.
