Tanks, jets, bombs, rocket launchers, nukes, these are things made to destroy, these are useful when conquering, destroy whole armies and their infrastructure so you can take over, but once you take over, you can't destroy what you own, to deal with the people who are trying to take what you own, you need foot soldiers, bullets, small vehicles and tactics to avoid collateral damage, this is why the biggest army on the planet failed to completely destroy a bunch of goat and opium farmers.

And this is why, yes, if USA gets invaded and conquered, or the USA government becomes a full dictatorship, the civilians, especially the gun nuts in Texas, can be a proper resistance.
