Wendy Guevara is a Mexican singer and influencer known for her YouTube channel "Las Perdidas." In her native country, Mexico, the LGBTQ+ artist has accumulated millions of followers on social media, creating content about lifestyle, makeup, music and comedy.
Background
The Mexican artist and influencer Wendy Guevara, who identifies as a trans girl,[1] started to gain recognition in February 2017, when she uploaded a video with her friend Paola Suárez saying that they were lost on a "hill," thus earning the nickname "Las Perdidas." The video, reuploaded by YouTube[2] user Compulsivosstuff9426 on February 17th, 2017, garnered 7.4 million views and 194,000 likes in seven years (seen below).
Since then, she has appeared in various programs and interviews, and in May 2022, she gained additional notoriety after being named the Trans Queen of the 44th edition of the Gay Pride March[3] in Mexico City.
Wendy also launched herself as a singer with the single "Hey Perra" on April 14th, 2022. The official music video on her YouTube[4] channel received 394,000 views and 39,000 likes in a year (seen below).

Wendy Guevara Reaction Memes
Wendy became a popular meme on June 2022, after posting a video of her talking to the camera while her friend Paolita takes a bath. The moment the influencer turns around and observes her friend from "Las Perdidas" bathing was turned into a reaction image and GIF meme on social media. The original video (now deleted) was reuploaded by YouTube[8] user Chicasconmacana on January 13th, 2023, garnering 3,300 views and 53 likes in four months (seen below).
The influencer also joined in the joke, posting a version of the meme on her Instagram[9] account on June 12th, 2022.
La Casa de Los Famosos México
On August 14th, 2023, Wendy Guevara won "La Casa de Los Famosos México 2023," which is Mexico’s version of "Celebrity Big Brother." The victory was celebrated online, as the social media influencer and musician become the first trans woman to win a Mexican reality TV series. Twitter[11] page @PopCrave posted about Wendy's victory (shown below), which received over 26,900 likes and 5,600 retweets in a day.
Twitter[12] page @porktendencia posted a video in support of Guevara's victory (shown below), garnering over 289,000 views and 12,000 likes in a day.

Personal Life
Born in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, on August 12th, 1993, Wendy Guevara grew up living there with her family and always knew that she identified with femininity, often secretly dressing as a woman in hotels, away from her family. Wendy ended up fully embracing her status as a trans girl and was finally accepted by her family.[10]
