Somehow "women's rights" and "not screwing little boys" were mutually exclusive conditions over there for whatever reason. And those things only can happen for all the wrong reasons. We got women's rights over there only as a happy accident, while the Taliban only banned Bacha Bazi because it was "homosexual" (aka, the old "homosexuals = pedophiles" chestnut). The only way to have it both ways was for us to literally colonize that area, something that we just don't have the resources to do, let alone the political capital even post 9/11
