We could've had a good, non-dysfunctional healthcare system
We could've had a better educational system
We could've had modernized, stable infrastructure
We could've had electricity from sources that don't involve fossil fuels
We could've had better law enforcement
We could've had an economy that is geared towards the middle class
We could've even had a kickass space program, complete with footprints on Mars

But no, we dumped all our money into an unfixable black hole and what we got in return was a loss of national prestige no matter what we did, nothing changing over there, and a whole bunch of families torn apart.
