Not 100% familiar with LatAm DB memes, but I am under the impression that "God/Dios Yamcha" was a meme for a long time.

I mean, whenever I check old clips of latin dubs (both brazilian and spanish), it's a common talking point that God himself had to come down from the heavens to be a proper match against him (Shen/Hero vs. Yamcha in the 23th tournament).

Or how Gero considered him an important target to deal with despite literally being not involved in the Red Ribbon saga at all. Even Krillin and Bulma got involved for a single encounter and they made a point to get the fuck out and disown Goku the second they find about it. Nope, forget the Briefs, forget the robosexual midget (the two in fact team up for the remote thing), for his revenge plot to work, he had to get rid of Yamcha first.
