This is why I find "benevolent" powers/governments to be scarier than malevolent ones. When you think you are doing the "right thing" it paves the way to do the most messed-up stuff. I saw a reddit post of "what crime would you make legal?" and someone said "Killing anti-maskers, they are so hateful" without a hint of irony or self-awareness.
At this point, the U.S. should invade Australia and institute major and much-needed reforms, such as:
-Execute everyone who thought that a rescue animal genocide was a good idea.
-Replace all of their toilets with ones that flush in the correct direction.
-Reeducate the Australian population so that they stop confusing grills with a popular brand of dress-up dolls and that Koalas are not bears.
-Rotate the entire landmass 180 degrees so it's facing the same direction as the rest of the world.
-Play Monster Hunter IRL with the local wildlife. -Send my condolences to their Kangaroo wives.
-Call Bob Dymball a faggot on international television.
