All and all though, I still support the withdrawal, even though it was way more chaotic than it had to be, even though I’m not happy with what’s about to happen to the women.
Trying to modernize Afghanistan was a hopeless cause from the beginning, and remember, we didn’t go to Afghanistan to give women rights, we wanted to get revenge for 9/11, which we got.

As for me, I better not hear how some female character showing her ankles in a video game, comic, movie, cartoon, anime, etc is somehow “oppressing women” ever again after this, since we will have a front row seat to what ACTUAL female oppression looks like.

The events in Afghanistan would have happened regardless of who was in charge, even if Trump won a second term. And it would have happened 10 years ago after Bin Laden Died or 30 years from now when the robo-head of Nixon gets re-elected.
