: Anonymous 08/24/21(Tue)07:16:21 No.65111409 >Finally land a job after some months of searching >S----- retail job with low pay and my boss seems like a grumpy a------ but the working hours seemed ok at least so I put in an 133 KB JPG effort to seem enthusiastic about it >It's Something.jpg >First thing that is asked of me is to show up way outside my assigned working hours >Agree to it because I don't want to seem negligent and I don't have much else to do >Show up 20 minutes prior when I was asked to come >Get yelled at because I should have "showed earlier" despite already arriving early >Ended up working 14 hours >Get a call the next day >It's my boss >"You have to come right now" >Really f------ tired and my shift shouldn't start before roughly 3 hours but say that l'll be there in 15 min >Boss grumbles something unintelligible but I can make out him saying "Hurry it up" >Spent around 12 hours working that day >These sudden call in for work at a moments notice continiues the first few weeks >By now all enthusiasm, even if it was just in pretend is now completely gone >Finally get a day off >Feelsgood.png >My phone starts ringing >Lo and behold it's my boss >Says I have to come right now to help >Try to ask why he needs help as it's usually not very busy around the time he called >"Just come here, we don't need lazy employees" >Reluctantly agree to it and drag myself out of bed and go to work >When I come down there my boss grumble that I should have arrived faster >l don't think I have ever seen my boss in a good mood >Basically end up working a full shift on my day off >My boss never as much as acknowledge me me for showing up whenever I'm asked even on off days and act like it's expected It's not like I think I'm some sort of irreplaceable asset or anything, but working for this a------ and dealing with his sudden requests without even as much as a nod for my efforts makes me want to drive full speed into a cliffside.
