Know Your Meme - The amount of spambots on this site is too damned high

True, but after checking the incoming users I find only 5-10% of them are actual users. The rest are all spambots. Highly disturbing number.

And isn't there a handful of stuff available to prevent such abuse? Drawing a parallel to Twitch, how some channels have you having to follow the channel then have a certain amount of watch time before you're allowed to comment.

Say for example needing someone to have at least a forum post to reply on images and/or vice versa to do the another, a longer timer between comments, and say like 50 comments before you're able to upload pictures, or for special situations, have your first upload sent to a mod for verification (useful for actual happenings, an outsider having a personal account of a situation so they can apply for a bypass).

The above is a mash of rules I've seen elsewhere. I think the most common is a forum/comment quota/community engagement before being allowed upload rights.

A bad "bypass request" photo upload or low quality comments to meet quota would make the hammer come fast to them.
