Supper Mario Broth @MarioBrothBlog In Super Mario Galaxy 2, the further away a slope is from the camera, the less slippery it becomes. This may result in Mario slipping while running up a slope that is close to the camera, but suddenly being able to run up all the way if the camera is zoomed out. In Super Mario Galaxy 2, slopes become more slippery the closer the camera is to them. For these screenshots, the screen has been cropped on the sides to reduce visual clutter, but still has its full height. Please use the distance from the slopes to the bottom edge of the screen to gauge the distance to the camera. Here, the slope is so close to the camera that its bottom is cut off by the bottom edge of the screen. Mario is only able to run halfway up the slope before he begins sliding down.
