I'm a little bit surprised that these little animations aren't documented here. The MechCommander gifs were a staple of avatars in many internet communities throughout the years, despite the relative modest success of the game itself. Originally, the gifs were part of the website for the game, but over time the actual source files were ripped from the game itself.

The actual 'Mech here, known as the "Mad Dog" by the Clans and the "Vulture" by the Inner Sphere, used the same leg chassis as the heavier Timberwolf/Mad Cat design, which was incredibly popular in the Battletech franchise.
