If the player obtains a certain useful item as early as the game allows it, it will be taken away permanently soon after. Details in image. You got a Strange Sack! An item that lets you carry up to 20 items. AV *** The Strange Sack is a highly useful item in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door that increases the size of Mario's inventory from 10 to 20. It is found on the 50th floor of the Pit of 100 Trials, a bonus dungeon. While the Pit of 100 Trials can be accessed as early as in the middle of Chapter 1, the game does not expect the player to be able to get far in it until Mario is much stronger, later in the game. In fact, the game gives Mario a sidequest to reach Floor 50 after completing the entire story, so the intended point at which the player is expected to obtain the Strange Sack is in the postgame. Regardless, with enough practice, preparation, knowledge of combat tactics and a high skill with blocking/Superguarding enemy attacks, an expert player would be able to reach deeper floors of the Pit of 100 Trials as early as it is unlocked, ie. in the middle of Chapter 1, and get the Strange Sack very early. During Chapter 2, Mario must unlock a blue cage containing 90 Punies. If Mario has the Strange Sack at this point, unlocking the cage simply removes the Strange Sack from Mario's inventory. As it is a unique item, it is impossible to obtain it again, since the chest containing it will be empty. In addition, since opening the cage is mandatory to progress the story, the player is already doomed to lose the Strange Sack the moment it is obtained, as there is no way to continue the story without losing it. This results in a bizarre glitch that specifically targets expert players only.

Below is a mock-up of what this could have looked like. ? ? Removing the glasses reveals that she does not normally have eyes, except for a few brief cutscenes. By putting the cutscene eye texture back onto her model, we can restore her eyes and see her original design. A few times during the game, her glasses come off, but only during an extremely brief moment does she open her eyes during this. Removing her glasses by modifying the game's code reveals that outside of the predetermined points where the glasses come off, she does not have eyes behind her glasses.
