I had just gotten out of a crappy combat encounter and just wanted to be like "Hey, who else reloads a save after horrible ambushes that are clear losses?" EDIT 2: Honestly surprised by the small amount of analysis on what save scumming actually is and what it refers to in some of the comments. I've always just taken it to mean that you reloaded something. I don't think it needs to refer to anything specific beyond that for the simple reason that players will decide for themselves how and when to reload a save.
