Not so fun fact:

While MAID being streamlined reduced deaths recorded as suicides… it becomes VERY clear where they all went when you see just how many people are using MAID, and how easy it is to qualify (depression, with no other health problems, is considered a viable reason)

MAID is, by definition, assisted suicide, but deaths that come from it are not listed as suicide.

But when you add in the deaths from MAID?

It makes the US look like a damn Utopia.

Using stats from 2021:

US had a population of 331.9 million, and 48,183 suicides.

Canada had a population of 38.25 million, and listed 3,768 deaths from suicide… but also had 10,092 separate MAID deaths that same year, making the actual number of people who chose to end their lives, alone, or with help, ~13,861.

I don't think I need to say what this would imply about the ACTUAL suicide rate in Canada compared to the US.

Yeah, suicide will ABSOLUTELY drop when you give people easy access to it and label your Government assisted suicide "not suicide"
