Kelly → @realKellyKnight This is not actually true. I am autistic, and have been since 1958, the year I was born. It's just that we did not know to call someone autistic by that name. If you went to school in the 60's or 70's, you probably knew someone who seemed antsy all the time, couldn't sit still, talked a lot, had a bad memory on some things but did really well in math, could repeat back something he just read, didn't fit in socially, was awkward with the opposite sex. The list goes on, and each of these are symptoms of someone living somewhere along the autism spectrum. Just because we didn't call it what we do today does not mean it didn't exist then.
