Image of "Luce," a mascot unveiled by the Vatican in late October 2024. The blue-haired girl, meant to represent Catholic pilgrims, can be seen holding a walking stick and wearing a yellow sailor raincoat, rosary beads, and muddy green shoes. Luce was designed by Italian artist Simone Legno, in an attempt by the Church to appeal to a younger Catholic crowd. Luce was unveiled alongside a host of other characters named Fe, Xin, and Sky, with the announcement inspiring memes and fan art featuring Luce.
