MacRae, West Village Division James Gordon, Commissioner To: cc: From: Peter Foley, Deputy Commissioner Re: Batman Investigation Directive With Harvey Dent Day fast approaching, the Mayor is assuring the public that the Gotham City Police Department will redouble its efforts to apprehend the Batman. To make good on this promise, all Patrol Divisions will facilitate in the search for the suspect. Patrol Division Commanders are mandated to instruct officers to canvas the areas of previ- ous Batman sightings in their respective beats. The attached addresses of those locations should be distributed at shift briefings. Officers should also be directed to report any and all information pertaining to the investigation to the designated contact ( #tdkr07202012 or tdkr07202012@gothampolicedepartment.com. ) This includes submitting photographic evidence of graffiti related to any movement in support of the vigilante's return so we can suppress it before it becomes a problem. Officers should make sure that location services or store location is on in their camera settings. It goes without saying this investigation is a key issue for the Mayor. Our commitment to bring the man responsible for the murder of Harvey Dent to justice will demonstrate to the community the tenacity and professionalism of this Department.
