Humiliated, he runs into the CMC They are curious as to how a stallion could be that old and not have a cutie mark. The CMC fear that they too will be blank-flanks until theyre as old as he is, if not older. The talentless musician suggests that he can help the CMC discover their own special talents over a sleepover at the clubhouse. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle don't think its a good idea to invite a stranger into their clubhouse and refuse to help the musician, no matter how friendly he appears to be. Despite their warnings, Apple Bloom believes that it's her solemn duty as a cutie mark crusader to help any and all blank-flanks in need to find out what makes him or her special. In the end Apple Bloom learns an important lesson about how looks can be deceiving, and that even though an apple can look shiny and red on the outside, that doesnt mean it's not rotten to the core
