Admit it, you read this book in high school and had a lesson on dictatorships in the same year. Putting it in perspective so that the next generation of kids won't go postal and enslave humanity.

I thought it was amazing how accurately George Orwell depicted the Russian Revolution with farm animals. If you haven't read Animal Farm yet, I sincerely suggest you do.

George Orwell. Fantastic, terrifying author. If you want a good scare, and especially if you are American, read 1984 right now. It's scaring me more and more daily.
