To be honest the only I see people that are assholes to religious people is on the internet. I think in real life, religious debates don’t happen as often as people act like they do.

I'm an athiest, but I've only gone to Catholic schools between Kindergarten and Grade 12. They we're all pretty nice, rational, level headed people. There wasn't a hint of God in any of the science classes either, not even Biology. I actually didn't mind religion classes either and I didn't object to most of what was taught there.

Granted, I live in Canada. In some of the southern states I imagine it's different.
