Every season in avatar both Korra and TLA ends with a Dues ex Machina with the exception of TLA book 2

Book 1- Turns out you can turn into a giant water monster and bring a dead spirit back.

Book 3- Lion Turtle energy bending.

Book 1 LoK- get all your powers back

Book 2 LoK- Giant Gurren Lagann spirit monster.
