That was always my biggest complaint about the first movie (still haven't watched the 2nd). It starts out in the whimsical Smurf village with of all theses characters you recognize from the show (which I did watch) and then that scene only last like five minutes and you only see six Smurfs for the rest of the movie one of which is Scottish Smurf who was never in the show. And then the rest of the movie is in same old modern New York with same old boring humans with same old predicable plot line.

Hopefully they can get it right now.
